The 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage is currently the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid gasoline car in the US, with combined EPA rating of 40 mpg (5.88 l/100 km), consisting of 37 mpg (6.36 l/100 km) city and 44 mpg (5.35 l/100 km) highway, when equipped with the continuously-variable transmission (CVT) option. The 2015 Mirage is priced with a low starting MSRP of $12,995.
Kia Soul EV with 132 mile range in UK by end 2014
KIA’s Soul EV, with a certified EC range of 212 kilometres (132.5 miles), is now scheduled to go on sale in the UK by the end of 2014. This 132 mile range is considerably greater than any other electric car at the same price level.
Kia begins export production of Kia Soul EV
Kia Motors has begun volume production of its new all-electric Kia Soul EV for export sales at its Kia’s Gwangju facility in Korea. The first vehicles are destined for select European countries and are scheduled to go on sale across the continent during the second half of the year. Annual output of the electric car is initially planned to reach 5,000 units.
