Toyota GT86 The Cut Price Porsche Cayman
April 03, 2012
Sean

Toyota has finally told everyone how much The GT86’s options will be, on top of how much it costs. It really is the cut price Porsche Cayman we were all hoping for. And it’s a slow news day today. Two versions come to market, one with a six-speed manual, for £24,995, and t’other with a six-speed auto, for £26,495. Forget the latter, though, because buying a GT86 auto is like buying a 3D TV but never wearing the glasses.
There’s only one spec, which doesn’t have a name but does have dual-zone climate control, sports seats, bi-xenon headlamps, daytime running LEDs, 17-inch alloy wheels and a proper mechanical limited slip differential as standard.Sat nav is a £750 option, while leather upholstery costs £1,600, and chavvy stickers for the body will set you back a couple of hundred notes. With first deliveries scheduled for July, the car is available to order now. No news on its twin car yet, though, the Subaru BRZ, but we’re guessing it’ll cost the very same.
