Toyota and Honda Concept Debuts at Detroit


Toyota has revealed the Corolla Furia Concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The Furia Concept hints at the styling cues we will be seeing on the next-generation Corolla.

“The Corolla Furia Concept is an early indicator of where our compact car design may lead in the future,” said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division. “It blends a heightened emphasis on dramatic design and modern elements of high technology to generate curb appeal that will surprise a lot of people.”

The Corolla Furia design highlights includes a swept windshield, LED lights, aggressive front fascia, a sloped roofline and pronounced fender flares.

Honda Urban SUV Concept Revealed, Previews a Jazz Based Crossover


Honda has unveiled an Urban SUV Concept at the Detroit Auto Show. The Urban SUV Concept is based on the next-generation Jazz and previews a new small crossover that will go against the likes of Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008, and Renault Captur when it goes on sale in 2014.

The Urban SUV is 4300mm long (228mm shorter than the CR-V) and will debut a telematics system for Honda. Power will come from new Earth Dreams engines.

The next-generation Jazz is expected to debut before this new crossover sometimes this year. A saloon version is also planned.
