Goodwood is set to celebrate a long ist of automotive and motor sport anniversaries and key moments at this year’s Festival of Speed, which takes place on 11-14 July.
In addition to this being the 20th anniversary event, the 2013 Festival of Speed will also be commemorating:
It’s been a busy year for Lotus; the arrival of the acclaimed Exige S; featured marque at the Goodwood Festival of Speed; a new flagship retail store in Regent Street; third place in the F1 Drivers’ Championship and fourth in the F1 Constructors’ Championship; and amongst various racing exploits, another series win for a Lotus with an Evora GTC taking the MSA British Endurance Championship.
Land Rover is celebrating its one millionth Discovery at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, following the completion of a 50-day 10,000 mile expedition from Birmingham to Beijing.
The 1,000,000th Disco was produced at Jaguar Land Rover’s Solihull plant earlier this year and to mark the milestone undertook a cross-continent adventure.
