A new Top 15 auto safety watch list puts the 2012 Ford Focus at number one based on dozens of reported injuries in which drivers cited problems with the car’s steering.

The Ford Focus was the world’s best-selling vehicle nameplate in 2012, with Fiesta as the world’s best-selling subcompact car, according to the automotive data and trends forecasting leader Polk.

The Ford Focus has notched up the enviable title of world’s best-selling car for 2012. Nearly 490,000 units of the Blue Oval hatchback have been sold worldwide during the first half of this year, and, according to HIS Automotive, that makes it the single best-selling car.
