Geneva Motor Show 2014: KIA Soule EV Offers 124 Mile Range

KIA revealed its first pure Electric Vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show: the KIA Soul EV with a 124 Mile range and a charge time as little as 25 minutes.

Embodying the iconic design of the recently-launched second-generation KIA Soul, the Soul EV will become the brand’s first globally-sold electric vehicle when production starts in the second half of 2014.

VW Golf remains Europe’s top selling car

The Volkswagen Golf remained Europe’s best-selling car after sales grew by 28 percent in January, according to market researcher JATO Dynamics.

PSA/Peugeot-Citroen’s incoming CEO Carlos Tavares hustled around the Geneva auto show this week in a way that didn’t suggest he was taking one of the toughest jobs in the auto industry.

Attending his first car show since joining the French carmaker “is very pleasant,” Tavares said while rushing to Peugeot’s display area, where electronic music throbbed and the 308 hatchback — the 2014 European Car of the Year — was prominently displayed. “I’m a lucky guy.”
