Takata Corp, whose potentially defective air bags have been linked to four deaths in the United States, warned of a bigger full-year loss and skipped its dividend – the first time it did not offer a payout since it listed in 2006.

BMW has developed street lights equipped with sockets to charge electric cars, it said on Friday, and will run a pilot project in Munich next year that uses existing local authority lighting networks.
Audi has unveiled the facelifted Q3, with updated engines and styling. The SUV gets more power and up to 13 per cent more fuel economy, although it will also be more expensive, with prices starting £25,340 – some £1500 more than the outgoing model. Ordering starts in December, with deliveries starting in April 2015.
The Ford Fiesta continues to be the best selling car in the UK, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
