ABB launched Terra 53 Z, its first high power DC fast charger that complies with the Chinese GB standard. The new chargers will be manufactured locally in Shenzhen at ABB’s recently established base for electric vehicle chargers.

Volvo Trucks is expanding its model range in Europe with a new version of the Volvo FE running entirely on natural gas. The Volvo FE CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) has been primarily developed for operations involving short driving cycles with repeated starts and stops such as refuse collection and local distribution.

Mazda Europe names Kevin Rice is new design boss

Mazda has promoted Kevin Rice, who rejoined the automaker from BMW last year, to lead its European design operations.

Currently Rice is Mazda Europe’s creative director. He will start his new job Sept. 1 and will succeed Peter Birtwhistle, who is retiring after a 26-year career at the automaker.
