GM reduced energy and carbon intensity per vehicle in 2013

In 2013, GM reduced the energy-intensity per vehicle manufactured 3.5% from 2012, down to an average 2.22 MW/vehicle from 2.30 MW, according to the company’s just released 2013 sustainability report.
GM recalls another 2.6 million vehicles – now 15.4 million car recall
General Motors said on Tuesday it is recalling another 2.6 million vehicles globally, raising the number of vehicles it has recalled so far this year to almost 15.4 million.

Nissan LEAFs being recalled over missing welds
Nissan is recalling certain model year 2014 LEAF vehicles manufactured 28 February 2014, through 12 March 2014. The front structural member assembly may be missing welds, which could reduce the structural integrity of the vehicle if the vehicle is involved in a crash. Up to 211 vehicles may be affected.
