Audi of America introduced the all-new 2015 A3 Sedan with both the 1.8 TFSI and 2.0 TFSI gasoline-fueled powertrains. The A3 Sedan will be joined later in 2014 by the recently announced Audi A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI clean diesel, the high-performance S3 Sedan and in early 2015, the A3 Sportback e-tron gasoline electric hybrid (PHEV).

McLaren pauses 12C production to meet 650S demand
Looks like customers love the recently introduced McLaren 650S as according to Piston Heads, the 12C production has been paused in order to free up capacity for the new model.
Even though the 650S is not an all new model, and is essentially a modified 12C with a P1 inspired front fascia, extra horsepower and few other tweaks, the demand for it is so strong that McLaren is currently not assembling the 12C Coupe or Spider.
power loss at VW German plant cut output more than expected
Volkswagen said it is still seeking the cause of a weekend power outage at its Wolfsburg plant in Germany and said production had been cut by several hundred vehicles, more than it initially estimated.
The outage affecting generators at Wolfsburg occurred early on Saturday and lasted for several hours, also affecting adjacent parts of the northern German city, where Europe’s largest automotive group is headquartered.
Taxi Electric in Amsterdam first to adopt the Nissan e-NV200
Taxi Electric, based in Amsterdam, will be the first private taxi company to add the new battery-electric Nissan e-NV200 taxi to its fleet. Taxi Electric operates a fleet of 25 Nissan LEAF vehicles and was the first private taxi service to switch to a fleet of 100% electric taxis in November 2011.
The e-NV200’s electric drivetrain, based on that used in the LEAF, is combined with the cargo volume of the NV200 to create a practical and versatile vehicle capable of carrying people or goods.
