Volkswagen Polo R WRC Street unveiled
Volkswagen has revealed a limited edition Polo R WRC to coincide with VW’s WRC campaign.
The Polo R WRC sits above the Polo GTI and is powered by a 217bhp 2.0 litre TSI turbocharged four cylinder engine with 250Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front axle via six speed gearbox, enabling the 1,324kg vehicle to reach 0-62mph in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 151mph.
Exterior highlights include an aggressive rally inspired body kit, which includes a new front bumper, new grille, new rear spoiler, rear diffuser and 18-inch alloy wheels. Interior boasts WRC themed seats, WRC badges, an Alcantara covered steering wheel and aluminium pedals.
The Polo WRC R will be available only in a three door form and just 2,500 units will be built, with German pricing starting from €33,900 (£27,000). Unfortunately this hot Polo will be only available in left hand drive.
