Volkswagen has unveiled the e-up!, its first all-electric car at the Annual Press and Investors Conference.
Power comes from a 82bhp electric motor with continuous output of 55bhp. Maximum torque is 210 Nm of torque. The e-up! weighs 1,185kg and has a range up to 93 miles from a fully charged 18.7 lithium-ion battery, which is integrated in the underfloor area.0-62mph comes in 14 seconds and the top speed is 84mph.Visually the e-up! is distinguished from the standard up! with curved LED daytime running lights in the front bumper and 15-inch machine-polished alloy wheels, while the front end, sills and under body have been aerodynamically optimised.
The interior features light-grey seat covers with blue stitching, special leather and chrome accents.
The all electric e-up! will make its public debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September with first UK customer deliveries scheduled for early 2014.
