“The Delivery” featuring actor Daniel Craig, 007, appearance at Range Rover event
“The Delivery” featuring actor Daniel Craig, aka the last James Bond 007 secret agent, is the launch film for the new Range Rover Sport presented at 2013 New York International Auto Show. Craig unveiled the new Sport with a live drive through the streets of New York to Moynihan Stationon 8thAvenue where the new model was officially revealed for the first time.
TURN YOUR SOUND UP AND ENJOY!
According to NY Post, Daniel Craig reportedly earned $1 million (£650k) for a short appearance at a Range Rover media event in New York that lasted roughly 7 minutes.
The James Bond star was part of a marketing campaign for the all-new Range Rover Sport, which shows him in the video below driving the new luxury SUV in Manhattan, NY to the media unveiling on Tuesday night.
He was there for few minutes so photographers could take coule of pictures and then left with no comments about the car or event, which in our guess many people were expecting as there were different complaints later like “He didn’t even give a speech” .. or “I couldn’t even tell if he was actually here.”
A spokesperson for the company said: “We won’t comment on our relationship with Mr Craig beyond confirming that Land Rover supports the charity S.A.F.E., of which the actor is a patron, and will continue its charitable efforts with a vehicle donation later this year.”
Looks like people always want more than they can get. Daniel Craig did what he was very likely agreed to do, left the event.
About the video:
Directed by action film 2ndunit director Jonathan P B Taylor, lauded for his work on Fast & Furious, Spiderman, Captain America and more recently Die Hard, the film tells the story of a driver tasked with delivering a top secret package. Starting at the Land Rover manufacturing plant in Solihull, UK, the car is shipped under the cover of darkness in a large container over to Manhattan. It is then unveiled and driven expertly through the streets of the city, over Manhattan Bridge and through a closed off tunnel, in a bid by its driver, Daniel Craig, to get it to the launch venue on time.
