The Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo were big Web winners during the second quarter. Other stars were the Land Rover Discovery, BMW X6 and Toyota Yaris.

Ford Fiesta has been one of the best selling vehicles in UK for years and since 2009 has been the top selling car. As of this month, the Fiesta is also the best-selling vehicle ever in the UK, exceeding 4,115,00 sales since 1976.
Ford has sold four million Ford Fiestas in the UK since sales started in 1976. The Fiesta has topped UK small car sales charts for 27 of the 37 years it has been on sale, and has been the overall bestselling car in the UK since 2009. The four millionth car – a candy blue Zetec – has been handed over to its owner in the North East of England.

New car sales have risen in 2012, with a 5.6 per cent overall rise, when compared to 2011. and the market seems to be weathering the Europe-wide economic crisis, but British buyers are downsizing.
