New Classics Event in Essex
On Saturday, May 4, the quiet Essex hamlet of Woodham Walter will be swarming with classic car owners, collectors and enthusiasts alike at a major new classic car event, the 2013 Warren Classic & Concours. This new, one-day event, uniquely-staged amidst the tranquil, 350-acre scenic estate of the long-established Warren Golf and Country Club in Woodham Walter, near Maldon, has been created by an international team who draw on many years of collective knowledge and experience of the classic car community.
New Ford Focus ST Gets the Full Law Enforcement Livery

Following its movie debut in the UK crime thriller The Sweeney, where the hot unmarked Focust ST was used by Flying Squad detectives Regan and Carter, Ford has unveiled a one-off version of the five-door hot hatch with full law enforcement livery.
More councils to insist on permits for roadworks
More councils are going to introduce permits for utility companies before they can start digging up the road. The idea is to improve co-ordination between utility companies, so they might actually do work at the same time – a radical idea. Four local councils in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex will join the existing participants in Kent, Northamptonshire, London, St Helens and Yorkshire.
The scheme, will give four councils more powers to co-ordinate road works and take tough action against companies who break the rules – including issuing fines of up to £5,000. The scheme requires anyone carrying out road works to apply for a permit in advance and allows councils to set conditions on timing, co-ordination and the amount of road space left available to road users.
First production Ford B-MAX preview

We think that Nissan and Vauxhall should be worried, as the new B-MAX, which was previewed at Ford’s headquarters in Essex yesterday, is designed to revolutionise the B-segment and sure to steal sales from the Note and Meriva. The new compact mini MPV, which is based on a stretched Fiesta chassis, will be on sale in September with prices starting at £12,995.
Key selling features of the B-MAX include the most obvious – the lack of a central B post. Instead, the B-post is built into the B-MAX’s doors and stiff steel structure.
