GM says ignition switch linked to recall made in China
The top U.S. automaker said in a filing on Tuesday with U.S. safety regulators that the switch used in the Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo, Buick LaCrosse and Lucerne, and Cadillac DeVille and DTS cars that were recalled on June 16 was made by China-based Dalian Alps Electronics Co Ltd.
GM dealers stop Cruze sales over faulty Takata airbags
General Motors has told dealers to stop selling about 33,000 new and used Chevrolet Cruze sedans from model years 2013 and 2014 due to a potential problem with airbags from Japan’s Takata.
