New Astra Cabrio Caught Testing With The Top Down
We have seen the new Astra Cabrio with the top down before. This time it was caught testing at the Nürburgring with the op down and a temporary roll bar to keep things safer.
The exterior does not reveal anything new, but we also get to see the interior, that has more chrome parts and higher quality materials than the regular Astra.
As we have already mentioned before, the new Astra Cabrio uses a soft-top not the complex folding-hard-top as the previous generation model. A four-seat layout remains unchanged.
Powertrain options will include a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Top of the range model will most likely use the 180bhp 1.6 litre turbo engine.
There are also rumours that the Astra Cabriolet will get a new name. We’ll see all that next month when the open top Astra debuts at the Paris Motor Show.
