Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution III breaks the EV record at Pikes Peak
Electric cars clearly are the future and not just in everyday driving, but it looks like they are the future of motorsports.
Mitsubishi MiEV is not a very impressive electric car in the world, but the company’s MiEV Evolution III race car for Pikes Peak Hill Climb really kicks some butt.
During last month’s 2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, the MiEV Evolution III lapped the extreme course in just 9:08.188 and it was not just the fastest in the Electric Modified Division, but also just two seconds off the best overall time at this year’s event, taking the overall second place.
The time was also the fourth fastest time ever recorded.
Check out the first-person viewpoint of the whole run up the hill with Greg Tracy behind the steering wheel, covering the course in just little over 9 minutes.
