Kia CUB concept debuts at the Seoul Motor Show

Kia has unveiled the all-new CUB compact concept at the Seoul Auto Show. Kia points out the CUB is a compact four-door coupe concept, though it does look more like a hatchback to us.

The CUB concept rides on the same platform as the new Soul and is less than four meters long, has rearward-opening rear doors and now B-pillars, providing easy access to the cabin.

The headlamps feature two-point LED lights, while the rear tail lights are also LED’s.

Other notable design elements include big 19-inch alloys, minimum-drag wing mirrors, automatic touch-type door handles and a two-colour paint finish with sporty stripe.

The CUB powertrain unit is a 201bhp 1.6-liter GDI petrol engine – recently also confirmed as the powerunit for the new Kia pro_cee’d GT and cee’d GT, which both debuted earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show.

The CUB is currently purely a design study with no production plans.
