Isuzu ups towing capacity of D-Max

Isuzu has increased the towing ability of the D-Max pick-up by 500kg meaning all 4×4 versions of the pick-up can now pull a maximum braked load of 3.5 tonnes.
The new certification applies to all D-Max pick-ups registered from July 2013 and comes after feedback from customers who wanted extra capacity. It also means the D-Max now has the best towing capacity in the market and is able to pull more than even the Ford Ranger 3.2 TDCi and the Toyota Hilux 3.0 D-4D.
All D-Max models come with a 2.5-litre twin-turbo diesel engine with six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox. The engine delivers 163PS and 400Nm of pull, plus there’s a choice of two and four-wheel drive models.
The Isuzu D-Max range includes single, extended (with rear-hinged side access panels) and double cab body configurations. Double cab models are available in four specifications: Isuzu D-Max, Eiger, Yukon and Utah. Prices start at £14,499 for the entry-level Isuzu D-Max 4×2 single cab and rise to £21,999 for the top of the range Isuzu D-Max Utah 4×4 double cab automatic.
