We knew Honda’s Mean Mower with its 109bhp 1000cc engine from a Honda VTR firestorm, along with bespoke suspension, all-new fabricated chassis and bigger wheels is very fast, going from 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds.

Last month the Mean Mower managed to break a Guinness World Records title for the Fastest lawnmower, averaging 116.57mph, breaking the previous record by almost 30mph.

The new record was set at the IDIADA Proving Ground, in Tarragona, Spain, by Piers Ward of BBC TopGear Magazine.

For the new Guinness World Record, the Mean Mower had to run through a 100-metre speed trap, in opposite directions within an hour with the average taken from both runs.

In addition to qualify for the record, it needed to cut grass and to look like a lawnmower. The mower had no problem as it can cut grass at around 15mph, more than double the flat-out speed of the original HF2620, it is based on.
