Fiat has released first pictures of its all-electric 500e ahead of its public debut later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Details are very limited and all that Chrysler has confirmed is that the car will go on sale in the state of California sometime in 2013.

Visually the 500e looks very similar to the standard model. Only notable differences include a redesigned lower front fascia, lower side sills, aero underbody lip and new wheels.

Interior reveals a new redesigned gauge cluster and a push-button instead of a gear shifter.
