Ferrari Museum in Maranello Opens Exhibition Celebrating Works of Sergio Pininfarina
November 05, 2012
admin
Automotive designer Sergio Pininfarina passed away in July at the age of 86, but the memory of the vehicles he created will continue to live.
Sergio’s collaboration with Ferrari started in 1952 and over the years he designed more than 100 Ferraris. To celebrate the works of this iconic designer, Ferrari Museum has put 22 of them on display in Maranello in The Great Ferraris of Sergio Pininfarina Exhibition.
The exhibition, which runs until January 7th, includes one-offs of the likes of the extraordinary experimental four-door Pinin, the 330 GTC Speciale once owned by Lilian, Princess de Rethy of Belgium.
Also on display are the 250 LM, the 500 Mondial and 250 MM berlinettas, the classic 375 MM racer, the spectacular BB Le Mans, the short wheelbase 250 GT Berlinetta, the 1964 275 GTB4 and the Spider version of the legendary Daytona, the BB, the Testarossa and the 599 SA Aperta.
