Citroën has unveiled new DS Wild Rubis concept car ahead of Shanghai Motor Show debut. The DS Wild Rubis concept points to a future DS SUV, which is expected to arrive in 2014.

The DS Wild Rubis is 4.7m long, 1.95m wide and 1.59m in height with a wheelbase of 2.9m. Riding on 21-inch wheels, the DS Wild Rubis’s front is characterised by the three-dimensional radiator grille decorated with a DS emblem and its silhouette is highlighted by a unique chrome signature on the side.

Based on the modified version of the DS5 platform, the DS Wild Rubis will reportedly feature a new petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain. The petrol engine powers the front wheels while the electric motor is at the rear, offering a true four-wheel drive setup. Combined power output is likely around 240bhp.
