Audi risks market share as BMW recovers

Just as Europe’s car market recovery shifts up a gear, the region’s biggest automaker Volkswagen will have little new to display from its luxury brand Audi at the upcoming Geneva auto show, other than a niche sports car.Audi, which accounts for almost half of operating profit at Volkswagen, will unveil a new version of the TT sports car, a model that accounted for less than 2 percent of the brand’s 1.58 million sales in 2013.

Renault 2013 group leader in Europe for low CO2 emissions

Renault Group has moved into pole position in Europe in terms of low CO2 emissions, with an average of 114.7g of CO2/km per vehicle (source: AAA-DATA) based on its passenger car sales over the full year 2013.

2014 Fiat 500 to receive 2-cylinder 105 hp 0.9 TwinAir Turbo

At the Geneva Motor Show, Fiat will introduce the MY 2014 Fiat 500, featuring a wide range of engines including the new two-cylinder 105 hp 0.9 TwinAir Turbo also offered in the Alfa Romeo MiTo sport mini.

Combined with a six-speed manual gearbox, the new 0.9 TwinAir engine delivers 105 hp (78 kW) at 5,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 145 N·m (107 lb-ft) at 2,000 rpm.
