The first generations of the Citroen C1, Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo sibling minicars looked too similar, the automakers admit. The partners did not discuss the designs of the second-generation models to prevent that from happening with the new models. Citroen C1 chief designer Carlo Bonzanigo explained the advantages of the strategy during a recent interview.

UQM to provide electric propulsion systems for light commercial vehicles in Turkey
UQM Technologies Inc. and Derindere Motorlu Araclar (DMA), an electric vehicle manufacturer based in Turkey, signed a memorandum of understanding, making UQM the supplier of electric propulsion systems to DMA for its fully electric light commercial vehicles production.

BMW M2 Coupe prototype starts testing
BMW M4 Coupe (successor to the M3 Coupe) is an amazing car, but there is something missing, when comparing it to the E46 M3. It is too “clean” and does not seem as driver oriented as the E46.
There is speculation that it will be released as a 2015 MY and others suggest as a 2016 MY.
BMW and SGL JV to triple carbon fiber plant capacity; world’s largest carbon fiber plant
Due to the high demand for carbon fiber in automotive production, SGL Automotive Carbon Fibers, a joint venture between the BMW Group and the SGL Group, will triple the capacity of the carbon fiber plant in Moses Lake, Washington. SGL and BMW made the announcement at the groundbreaking ceremony for the planned site expansion. The expansion will be funded by an investment of US$200 million, on top of the previously invested US$100 million.
