Carice Mk1 from The Netherlands is an electric Porsche 356 lookalike

Small Dutch automaker Carice Cars has unveiled a limited edition Carice Mk1 electric vehicle that is clearly inspired from the iconic Porsche 356.
The Mk1 has a body manufactured entirely from plastic, making the whole car unbelievably lightweight – it weighs just 350kg.
It is available with two engine outputs – 20bhp and 54bhp. Not a whole lot, but should be enough for some summer cruising.
Battery details haven’t been released yet, but don’t expect a very long range as the total weight of just 350kg clearly hints that there is not a very big battery pack.
For longer range there will be an optional range-extending small petrol engine and the company even offers a hydrogen-powered version.
The battery is incorporated in the so called backbone chassis with a central single thick bar running the entire length of the car, offering an ideal 50:50 weight distribution.
Carice Cars plans to build just 10 cars with prices starting from €26,620.
In addition the company plans to offer a Junior Version for 16-year-old drivers with a 5.4bhp engine.
