BMW has released another short documentary, giving a quick overview about the history of 02 Series.

The 02 Series began production in 1966, when BMW introduced the 1600-2 two-door model at the Geneva Motor Show. The car’s name was later changed to 1602 and later 2002 arrived, one of the most famous BMW’s. In 1975 the 2002 was replaced with the 3 Series.In this three minute video BMW looks back in history and says the 02 series was extraordinarily successful in reinterpreting the concept of the sports saloon and played a major role in motor sport long after production had come to an end.
