BMW compares all three X5 generations
The new third-generation BMW X5 was revealed last week, boasting an evolutionary design and a more luxurious interior.
BMW has now released a short official side-by-side comparison with all three generations of the X5. The first generation X5 (E53) was launched in 1999 and was followed by E70 X5 in 2006.The current third generation F15 X5 is nothing revolutionary when it comes to design. The most noticeable updates include new headlights that flow into the kidney grille.
As you can see from the video below, the split tailgate was there right from the beginning. BMW goes as far as saying the interior of the new X5 is so luxurious that it leaves the impression of a 7 Series.
