Blancpain Lambo GT3 up for charity auction

RM Auctions in Monaco is putting a 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 GT3 racing car up for sale. It’ll cost about €100,000 to the buyer – significantly less than a new Gallardo. Sounds like a bargain to us.Due to go under the hammer in Monaco during a May 12 auction, the Blancpain Gallardo is being sold for charity – all the proceeds will go to the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy.
The car was built by Reiter Engineering and won the 2011 Amateur Class Championship in the ADAC GT Masters series. It was driven by Marc Hayek and Peter Knox.It has a 5.2-litre mid-rear mounted V10 engine with 605bhp, and a full racing specification sequential gearbox.
Naturally, most of the standard Gallardo’s mechanicals have been upgraded; this car features fully independent suspension (so you don’t need to give it any pocket money), and hydraulic ceramic brakes.
The estimated sale price is €80-100,000 (£65-80,000), and it’s being sold without reserve – but let’s hope it makes much more than that for the charity…
