Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster unveiled
Following last summer’s debut of the V12 Vantage S Coupe, Aston Martin has unveiled the V12 Vantage S Roadster.
The new model is Aston Martin’s most potent, fastest and fastest-accelerating series production roadster with power coming from a naturally aspirated 565bhp 6.0-litre V12 engine with 620Nm of torque linked to a seven-speed Sportshift III transmission, taking it from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 201mph.
Visually almost identical to the coupe, except the roofline, the V12 Vantage S Roadster is distinguished from the more standard model with a ventilated bonner, carbon fibre parts, black or titanium silver accents and an aggressive grille.
There is also a three-stage adaptive damping, allied to three-stage DSC and two-stage ABS, allowing the driver to more precisely tailor the car’s dynamic character between ‘Normal’, ‘Sport’ and ‘Track’ modes.
Getting back to a full stop as fast as possible us guaranteed by specially-created carbon ceramic discs all round.
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster won’t be available for this year’s summer driving as it will go on sale later this year.
Pricing will be announced closer to market launch, which is expected to start little over coupe’s base price of £138,000 plus taxes.
