Off-road extravaganza at Beaulieu
Beaulieu Motor Museum is hosting its first ever day for 4×4 lovers, Simply 4×4, on Sunday 12 August. Owners and enthusiasts can lust over droves of traditional off-roaders Land Rovers, Jeep and Range Rovers alongside other models from classic 4x4s to new BMW SUVs.Owners can display their vehicles in the parkland while visitors without 4x4s are also welcome to enjoy the event.Throughout the day attendees will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite vehicle on display in the People’s Choice Awards. And in the afternoon, there will be a parade of the most popular vehicles after which the winning vehicle and runner up will be announced at a prize-giving ceremony.
For entrants arriving in their 4×4 vehicle and participating in the event, individual ticket prices are £10 per adult and £5 per child.
Beaulieu has also teamed up with Land Rover Experience, West Country, to give owners the opportunity to try the museum’s very own off-road Forest Drive. Event participants can book a space at a cost of £25 per vehicle to take their own 4×4 on the 45-minute course, and can also enjoy a second drive after 3pm for a discounted rate of £15 per vehicle, when booked with the first drive.
Visitors who do not have a 4×4 can also book a slot in a Land Rover Experience vehicle. Instructors can take you on the course for £40 to drive, or £10 for a passenger ride.
Admission to the event includes entry to the whole Beaulieu attraction; the National Motor Museum and its Bond In Motion exhibition showcasing 50 original James Bond vehicles, World of Top Gear, On Screen Cars, Beaulieu Abbey, and Palace House and gardens.
