The Golden Sun Bird is an ancient artifact, which was uncovered in 2001 in the palace city of Chengdu, China. The artifact dates back to the Shang Dynasty from 1000 BC.

The Sun Bird is a ring-shaped piece of foil, made of nearly pure gold. The pattern consists of four birds, flying in the same counter-clockwise direction, located around the perimeter.

It is 12.5 cm in diameter and just 0.02 cm thick, weighing 20 grams.

The city soon adopted it as its logo, and now Rolls-Royce has commemorated the find with a unique one-off Ghost called Golden Sunbird.

The one-off Golden Sunbird is based on the long-wheelbase Ghost and features a two-tone white and gold paint scheme, with gold coachline, gold grille and gold Spirit of Ecstasy.

The interior boasts golden treadplates, gold embroidery, light brown leather and white trim.
