2015 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS with 424bhp unveiled starting at £91,098

Porsche 911 model line-up continues to grow and here is the latest addition to the type-991 range in the form of a new 911 Carrera GTS.

Just like its predecessor the 997 Carrera GTS, the new 911 Carrara GTS will be available as a coupe or convertible with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

Visually the GTS model is distinguished from other 911 models with a unique front bumper, wider rear fenders, standard bi-xenon headlamps with darkened lenses, black 20-inch centre-locking alloy wheels and a sports exhaust with darkened chrome tailpipes.

Power comes from a 424bhp 3.8-litre six-cylinder flat six engine(+30bhp compared to Carrera S) linked to either standard seven-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The 911 Carrera GTS is also equipped as standard with Porsche’s Chrono package and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) system, making it 10mm lower than the Carrera S.

With the PDK, the GTS coupe goes from 0-62mph in 4.0 seconds, while the convertible does it in 4.2 seconds. Top speed is 186mph for both the coupe and convertible with the PDK, while the fastest top speed of 190mph is the coupe with the manual.

The 911 Carrera GTS will debut next month at the Los Angeles show, with prices starting at £91,098.
