Ford unveils Fusion Hybrid research vehicle for autonomous driving
Ford, in conjunction with the University of Michigan and State Farm, unveiled a Ford Fusion Hybrid automated research vehicle that will be used to make progress on future autonomous driving and other advanced technologies.
Ward’s names 10 Best Engines of 2014
Penton’s WardsAuto has named three diesels, a tiny 3-cyl. turbo and a battery-electric vehicle to its annual 2014 Ward’s 10 Best Engines, illustrating the importance of fuel economy as automakers develop and market advanced new powertrains.
This is the 20th year for Ward’s 10 Best Engines, a competition created to recognize outstanding powertrain achievement, world-class technologies and those rare engines or electric propulsion systems that are so compelling they help sell the vehicle.
Clean Energy Fuels customers ordering more CNG vehicles
Clean Energy Fuels has announced that its customers ordered 70 percent more natural gas vehicles through the third quarter of 2013 as compared to the same period in 2012.
In addition, the company, which is the largest provider of natural gas fuel for transportation in North America, announced select deals in the transit sector building on its continually-growing portfolio of natural gas fuel customers.
Daimler China focuses on pricing over volume
Daimler is working to end rebates on its Mercedes-Benz vehicles in China at the same time it tries to match the growth of rivals in the premium segment next year.
