Bridgestone recalls 1 million plus truck, bus tires
Bridgestone Corp. announced it is conducting a voluntary safety recall of 1,204,707 Japanese-made truck and bus tires for possible abnormalities in the tires’ inner liners that could lead to slow leaks and tire failures.
Bridgestone Americas announced Nov. 8 that 2,600 of the tires had been sold in Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, and Guam.

Global carbon emissions rise to new record in 2013
Global carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels will rise to a record 36 billion metric tons (39.683 billion tons) this year, a report by 49 researchers from 10 countries said, showing the failure of governments to rein in the main greenhouse gas blamed for global warming.
