Hennessey Venom GT Sets a New Guinness World Record

Hennessey Performance has announced that on January 10, 2013, the Venom GT supercar accelerated from 0-300 km/h (186mph) in just 13.63 seconds at the Ellington Airport (also used by NASA) located southeast of Houston, Texas, making it a new record holder according to Guinness World Records.

Automakers are worried about driverless cars

Automated vehicle technology is advancing rapidly. But some automakers fret the public and regulators aren’t ready yet. Technology that will allow cars to operate with minimal input from human drivers is being demonstrated more openly by a few automakers, notably Audi, Toyota’s Lexus and Mercedes-Benz.
