Fiat workers: Want to strike? Join the queue…
Strikes in UK car factories are pretty rare these days, but in Italy Fiat unions are fighting each other for the right to strike first.
In what could be a story from an old comedy show (Not the Nine o’Clock News, perhaps?), militant Fiat Trade Union FIOM is complaining that it cannot bring its workers out on strike – because car delivery drivers are already on strike. The result is that FIOM members are laid off at home, and so cannot get into to the factory to call a strike.

Microsoft and West Coast Customs (they of MTV’s Pimp My Ride fame) have teamed up to create the ultimate in geeky muscle – a PC-pimped Ford Mustang. With neon blue lighting up the wheels and grille, contrasting with a matte black paint job, the so-called ‘Micro-Stang’ is actually amazing.Called ‘Project Detroit’ officially, the car is a clever mash up of old, new and yet-to-exist.

An auction offering unique artwork from Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and David Coulthard goes live today, with all proceeds going to charity.Part of the Race of Champions winning ritual, three pieces of autmotive art were created by the racers by doing donuts and burnouts on blank canvasses after each of their victories at ROC finals.
