The 2013 Hennessey Venom GT2 will be powered by a new 1500 horsepower 7.0-litre twin turbo V8  linked to a 6-speed Ricardo manual or a new 7-speed paddle shift transmission.

The “standard” Venom GT will continue to use the twin-turbo 6.2-litre V8, which delivers 1200 hp.

Performance specs were not released, but the 2012 Venom GT with 1200 hp reaches 0-62mph in 2.2 seconds and has a top speed of 272 mph. The Venom GT2 is very likely going after the 2 second or below mark.

Compared to the 2012 Venom GT other updates include a new double bubble roof, new doors with dihedral hinges, new bonnet, new side mirrors and new headlamps, which replace the Lotus ones for something more original.
