Which? launches car fault report tool

Consumer campaigner Which? has launched a new database of vehicle faults based on user submissions.

That means all car owners can submit problems they have suffered, building a list of common faults to bring to the attention of the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).

Which? says petrol cars may be cheaper to run than diesels


The consumer organisation, Which? says the overall running costs of petrol cars may be lower than their diesel equivalents.This year is set to be the first in which diesel cars will make up more than half the new car market. However, a Which? comparison of diesel and petrol versions of six popular car models has found that petrol engines can often be the more cost effective choice for drivers covering a typical annual mileage.

Which? Names Kia as best car manufacturer


Which? The consumer’s association has named Kia as the best car manufacturer in the UK for its combination of long warranty, good products and high customer satisfaction. Which? praised the company’s “superb new range of cars” as well as the brand’s excellent value for money and “industry-leading” seven year warranty. Presenting the award, Which? Chief Executive, Peter Vicary-Smith said: “This is the first time Kia has made the short-list and to walk off with the title is a significant achievement.”
