United Auto Workers leaders said Thursday they have reached a “consensus” with Volkswagen and expect the German automaker to recognize the union if they sign up enough workers at a new local for the company’s assembly plant in Tennessee.
German carmaker Volkswagen will build two new vehicle plants in China as it invests €2 billion ($2.7 billion) along with its partner, it announced Monday during a visit by Chancellor Angela Merkel.

And the disaster that is Volkswagen’s sales in America will continue.
Lighter, more efficient and packed with technology, the new Passat could set a new benchmark in the family car segment when it officially launches later this year.
