Volkswagen GTI Roadster concept debuts at Wörthersee

Volkswagen has unveiled the GTI Roadster concept at the annual GTI festival at Wörthersee in Austria.

The concept is a real life version of the Gran Turismo 6 exclusive GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo that was originally created as a purely electronic CGI entity for the Gran Turismo 6.

Volkswagen describes it as the “most spectacular GTI ever.”

The two-seater roadster features a very radical radical design with a very low windshield that has very low(more like zero) chances of making into production.

The GTI Roadster concept is envisioned with a 503bhp 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo linked to a 7-speed DSG and 4MOTION all-wheel drive system, taking the 1,421kg concept from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of 192mph.

All this rides on huge 20-inch alloy wheels fitted with 235/35 ZR20 front and 275/30 ZR20 rear tyres.

The interior reveals a dual carbon fibre monocoque, low-positioned bucket seats and a four-spoke steering wheel wrapped around in Alcanatara.

If you have the Gran Turismo 6 then you can download the GTI Roadster concept for free until mid-June.
