Honda said Thursday that an exploding airbag in one of its cars killed a woman in Malaysia, bringing to five the number of deaths linked to a defect in parts made by embattled Japanese supplier Takata.
Honda is introducing a new driver-assistive system, Honda SENSING, which will first be applied in the all-new Legend mid-size luxury car to go on sale in Japan before the end of this year, and then successively to more models in the future.

Honda said it remains committed to hybrids in Europe and will import a petrol-electric hybrid version of its next Jazz subcompact in 2016, a year after the conventionally-powered new Jazz goes on sale.

Aimed at those that prize performance above style or subtlety Honda’s hottest of hot hatches will face some stiff competition when it arrives in the French capital this week for the Paris Motor Show.
