Suprise Debut at the Detroit Auto Show

<
The 2013 Destino made a surprise debut today at the Detroit Auto Show. Basically the Destino is a Fisker Karma without the electric motors, batteries and range extending combustion engine.

Instead of all that high-tech green stuff, the Destino is powered by a 638bhp supercharged V8 found in the Corvette ZR1. There is also a less powerful 450bhp 6.2-litre V8 available. Both engines can be mated to either a manual or automatic gearbox.

There are also some changes made to the front and rear end, as well as the interior.

This is an amazing idea as the Fisker Karma surely has the looks, but the technology has not really proven itself and the car has continuos problems.

The Destino is currently in prototype stage and if all goes as planned will be available in the second half of 2013.
