Colorado launches campaign to stop stoned driving

Colorado is spending $1 million on television ads making fun of marijuana users who space out during everyday tasks — an effort to stop stoned driving.

The Colorado Department of Transportation unveiled the “Drive High, Get a DUI” campaign Thursday, the state’s first effort since marijuana was legalized in 2012 to remind drivers that pot should be treated like alcohol and not used before driving.

Mercedes, Infiniti to pool small cars, plant

Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz and Nissan’s Infiniti plan to pool development of compact cars to cut costs, expand the German carmaker’s North American production and broaden the Infiniti lineup, people familiar with the matter said.The outline deal, which reinforces Daimler’s relationship with the Renault-Nissan alliance, will see Nissan build the next-generation Mercedes GLA SUV and related models in Mexico alongside all-new cars for its own Infiniti brand, said the sources, who asked not to be identified.
