
Jaguar has released a teaser photo of its XE compact sedan ahead of European sales in 2015, followed by U.S. deliveries a year later.
Toyota is recalling an estimated 50,220 Highlander sport utility vehicles globally, most in the United States, for a software problem that could result in the front passenger seat belt not working properly.

Toyota said Thursday it’s recalling 516,000 vehicles worldwide — including 430,500 in the U.S. — for three separate safety problems, including brakes that can activate without warning.

Google’s self-driving car project may still be in its infancy, but one day the system it proposes will be available to consumers at large, who’ll be able to have their cars driven for them instead of having to actually do the deed themselves.

In 2013, GM reduced the energy-intensity per vehicle manufactured 3.5% from 2012, down to an average 2.22 MW/vehicle from 2.30 MW, according to the company’s just released 2013 sustainability report.
