VW on track to sell 10 million vehicles this year as Europe, China offset weak U.S., Brazil sales

Volkswagen Group said it is on target to sell 10 million vehicles this year after its September vehicle sales increased 3 percent to 881,300.

Higher sales in China and Europe are helping to offset weaker volume in the U.S. and South America for the group, which owns the Audi, Porsche and Bentley luxury brands, as well as the VW, Skoda and Seat volume marques.

Mitsubishi will add two more PHEVs to European lineup

Mitsubishi will add plug-in hybrid versions of its its next ASX compact crossover and Pajero/Shogun SUV, CEO Osamu Masuko said.

The plug-in variants will join the Outlander, which already has a plug-in variant on sale in Europe.
