Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Pur Blanc hits 246.6 mph on a closed public road
Bugatti Veyron is probably the most iconic modern day supercar. The total production run of 450 cars is expected to reach its end later this year or in early 2015.
Over the years, Bugatti has produced numerous special editions and one offs, including the one-off Veyron Super Sport Pur Blanc, based on the 1,187bhp Veyron Super Sport variant.
The Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition reached a top speed of 268mph back in 2010, while the customer cars were electronically-capped at 258 mph.
Some people doubt that owners will ever get to such speeds in real life, but as the video below proves, some of them are getting quite close to the electronically-capped top speed.
The owner for a Pur Blanc edition recently managed to hit 246.6 mph on a closed public road in Ketchum, Idaho, during this year’s Sun Valley Road Rally.
Enjoy how fast the Veyron covers the deserted stretch of motorway.
