£32,000 for Fiat 500 Maserati Edition

The latest limited edition fancy pants version of the Fiat 500 will cost £32,000. The Abarth 695 Maserati Edition goes on sale at the end of this year, with just 499 being produced. The car follows the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari in pilfering the name of a revered Italian supercar brand, slapping it onto the city car and charging a whopping premium.
The outlay buys a Fiat with a 180bhp 1.4-litre turbo engine which, in Abarth speak, “epitomises the elegance and comfort of a Gran Turismo with the handling of a car fit to take on the road every day.” That must be as opposed to the other Fiat 500s, which presumably aren’t.
The car gets Brembo brakes, Koni shock absorbers and a ‘dual mode’ exhaust that opens up above 3,000rpm for a more aggressive sound. It hits 62mph in less than seven seconds.
The colour of the car above is ‘Pontevecchio Bordeaux’, which is taken from Maserati’s sample sheet.
Talk to a Fiat dealer if you want one.
