Italian coachbuilder Zagato has unveiled two one-off bespoke Aston Martins to celebrate Aston Martin’s 100th Anniversary.

Two very special projects are DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial that will go to a well known American car collector Peter Read and the DBS Coupé Zagato Centennial, headed to a young and prestigious Japanese entrepreneur.

The team’s vision is best expressed by Peter Read; “The DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial perfectly merges Aston Martin and Zagato’s DNA by combining the elegance of design, typical of Zagato, with the soul, power and prestige of Aston Martin, all developed over the last 100 years. This car personifies the timelessness of the Aston Martin/Zagato marque.”

Peter Read already owns a DB7 Zagato, that was produced in 2001.

The Aston Martin DBS Coupé Zagato Centennial mixes Aston Martin DNA with Italian flair, featuring a ‘double bubble’ roof design, reminiscent of Zagato cars from the 1950s.

Both cars are very interesting and there is not much left when comparing the to the original cars. The only recognizable parts from Aston Martin seem to be the wide grille and door handles.
